okay so i think we MAY have finally found the first winning pair of sneakers to add to my “i’m in my mid-30’s and i need more arch support” collection. ladies and gentlemen (are there any gentlemen who are reading this?! if so, god bless you), madewell’s court sneaker has entered the chat.

while i had heard good things about this particular pair of sneakers, i had yet to consider them throughout my journey to sneakerhead. and then madewell put them on promo for $20 off and the bargainista in me was like, THIS IS A SIGN. and so i bought them, opted for the extremely convenient in-store pick-up option, and voila, in less than 12 hours, i had them in my hot little hands. and my first impression is –these feel like the most “me” sneakers of all the styles i’ve tried. they’re sporty without feeling trendy and super flattering on the foot. oh and don’t get me started on the fact that they’re leather -essential for when my tiny humans squirt their entire fruit pouch on the ground. i find them to run TTS, i’m wearing the 9.5, and i think they’ll only get more comfortable as i break the leather in with continual wear. i opted for the ivory multi version, but they come in a variety of colors (and fabrics -if canvas is more your speed). they also have a high-top version!

to prove to myself that these sneakers will be a workhorse in my wardrobe, i styled them with existing pieces to create five cute, comfy, and mom-friendly(ish) ensembles. if you already own a pair of white sneakers, perhaps these outfits can offer a bit of inspiration? and for those of you on your own sneaker journey, please use this post as my own personal endorsement for madewell’s signature sneaker.
