today is my sweet grandmother’s birthday (we call her “bams”). in honor of her special day, i thought i’d take a walk down memory lane with just a few of the dozens of photos we have taken together since my days of sporting osh kosh b’gosh overalls and ginger locks.

for those who don’t have the pleasure of knowing my grandma, she’s one of the best. she is a daily subscriber to this blog, we have a standing phone date twice a week, she loves to send little notes in the mail for no reason at all, and she refers to S as “the voice” since we called her on speaker phone this mother’s day but have yet to planned a time for them to meet in person.

she is sharp, she is compassionate, she is giving, and she is wise. she also makes a mean plate of tyson chicken nuggets.

she is my grandmother, a second mother, and a cherished friend.
