yesterday i had my makeup trial with my beloved makeup artist (slash friend from high school -fun fact: i have been telling her for the past seven years that when i get married she would be the person to do my makeup on my big day. i can’t believe the time has finally come for me to make good on my promise!). as you can imagine we had the best time and i am over the moon excited for her to recreate the look in january.
going into the appointment, i naturally turned to pinterest to find inspiration. if i could describe how i want to look as a bride, it would be classic, romantic, and california-girl inspired. at the end of the day, i still want to look like me, just enhanced. after all, the last thing i want S to think as i walk down the aisle is, “who are you and what did you do with my fiance?”
luckily i was able to find a few photos that reflected my ideal makeup aesthetic and brought said looks to my appointment with janelle.
though she’ll add fake eyelashes for a little extra glam on the big day, the final product was pretty natural (most similar to the largest photo on the left). so much so that i’ve already ordered a few of the products she used to incorporate into my everyday routine. below are some of the goodies she used to create my bridal look. i can’t wait to see how everything else comes together!

i’ve been pinning away makeup ideas too!
i’m doing my own makeup (thankfully not hair haha), so i’m always hunting for new items! <3
