y’all know i’m a separates girl, so when i see a cute (and appropriately lengthed!) skirt, it’s hard not to make it mine. when i spotted this particular navy beauty on loft’s website a few weeks ago, i instantly fell in love. i mean, can we talk about the ruffled hem for a minute?
after spotting the ruffle-wrap skirt trend at loft, i also noticed the silhouette in j.crew’s latest spring arrivals. i actually may or may not have also picked up this one. #whoopsies. the trend is so flirty and feminine and perfect for both my office and weekend wardrobes. i decided to dress up this navy number with a pair of espadrilles wedges and this striped tee for a double dinner date with my husband and two dear friends.
before our date, S and i took a short detour to visit my cousin (who was the matron of honor in our wedding!), her husband, and their sweet babies. we stumbled across these overgrown weeds near their house and snapped a few pics before we left. my three-year-old nephew decided to do some modeling as well. i’m not gonna lie, i might have some competition. he’s a natural.
