it’s been a while! i’m back with a few new outfits this week that i’m really excited to share. this first one features one of my recent purchases –a pair of everlane’s highly-acclaimed boss boots. i had to wait months for these babies to come back in stock but i’ll have to say, they were well worth the wait!

with over 250 five star reviews, i was hopeful that these boots would be just as good in person as they appeared to be online. per the recommendation of a helpful everlane customer service rep, i ordered a half size up than my normal size since my feet are on the wider side. while they were a little stiff right out of the box, i noticed that the longer i wear them, the more the leather has begun to form to my feet. i have a feeling they will only get better with wear and age. yes, these boots are an investment, but for genuine italian leather, i would expect nothing less. these are the type of shoes i’ll have forever and for that reason, i’m willing to spend a little bit more if i know they’ll last me season after season.

i wore these boots along with my new cashmere sweater (a gift from christmas) on a little day trip to san juan capistrano. S and i left the house bright and early on saturday morning and took our time exploring the quaint city -making a stop at the mission whose grounds are simply breathtaking. though sunny, there was a chill in the air, which made it perfect sweater weather.
