for someone who doesn’t shop at nordstrom very often, even i get excited for the anniversary sale every year. for one, it’s a great time to stock up on basics/classic pieces you’d normally buy but at a discount and two, it also gets me REAL excited for fall dressing. full disclosure, my mom is a card holder so we were able to snag this sweater and this pair of leggings (along with some hanky pankys, my favorite underwear!) before things started selling out during the first leg of the sale. if you’re a card holder and have access to the sale now, you can shop my picks now. but even if you have to wait until the sale goes public this friday, chances are the sold out pieces will be restocked in time! while i wouldn’t say i was super in love with anything in particular, there are a few things (mainly sweaters!) that caught my eye…

p.s. the ruffled cardigan pictured above was a find from the sale two years ago and it’s still one of my favorite sweaters!
