once i started gaining weight from this pregnancy, the first thing i found no longer fit were my jeans (they gave up around week 9). truthfully, the idea of wearing buttoned pants sounded terrible so i wasn’t completely heartbroken, but i figured it might be nice to own at least one pair of bump-friendly denim to last me the 9+ month journey. i knew i didn’t want to invest too much money in a pair considering this will be our only pregnancy (two and done!), so i researched inexpensive brands that boasted the best maternity-friendly styles.
what i found was that both asos and h&m had laud-worthy denim at affordable prices. i snagged this boyfriend style of black jeans before thanksgiving and had been waiting until my bump was big enough to wear them. at just over 16 weeks now, they fit fairly well with some room to spare (thankfully) as we inch closer to the halfway mark. next time, i’ll just be sure to pair them with a longer top as this sweater wasn’t quite a match for the twins’ recent growth spurt, haha. if you’re looking for additional maternity denim options -i also love this style, this one, this style & these.
