after searching for over a year, i finally found my perfect pair of denim shorts. appropriately enough they are madewell’s new ‘momjean’ style which basically means a higher rise and a longer hemline. sign me up! i snagged them in the fitzgerald wash (which is a lighter wash with a raw hem) but they also come in a darker wash (burdette wash) if that’s more your speed. madewell tends to run generous in their sizing –especially in their denim line so i sized down a full size and am praying they don’t stretch out too much with wear (luckily they’re pretty rigid and don’t contain spandex).

i managed to pull together six looks i plan on sporting this summer while the twins were napping this weekend so if you’re in need of a little outfit inspiration with your own pair of denim shorts, i’ve got you, girl!
