despite the temperatures in san diego saying otherwise, the *official* start to the fall season (also known as the autumnal equinox) is this thursday, september 22nd. in celebration of said event, i recently wore my new favorite dress -with colors so representative of everything we love about the upcoming season. the rich hues of brown, burnt orange, and navy are normally not colors i gravitate toward, but after purchasing the dress in its other lighter pattern and falling in love with its silhouette, i knew i had to add the former to my collection as well.
this dress has kind of become the dress of the season as i’ve seen it on many an influencer over the course of the past few weeks. it has toggled in and out of stock on doen’s website, but lucky for me, i managed to sign-up for an in-stock alert and grabbed it as soon as the notification landed in my inbox.
doen blair dress in noir fleurs d’avignon (small) || justin cowboy boots (sized up 1/2 size) || amazon sunglasses
if you aren’t familiar with the brand, doen, read more about their amazing origin story here. essentially they are a female-founded and run company focused on providing garments that evoke a timeless whimsy and unapologetic femininity that can be passed on for generations. having now added four doen pieces to my wardrobe, i can speak to both the whimsy and femininity as well as the quality that will ensure these garments will serve me for years to come.
don’t be surprised if you see this dress again for this year’s thanksgiving festivities.
