chambray in quebec city

2 Permalink 14

i had grand plans of taking photos of each outfit i wore over the course of our time in quebec city, but the truth is, not only have most of the ensembles i wore already been featured on the blog, but more importantly, we were too busy enjoying our vacation and exploring the city to stop for a photo shoot. hopefully you were able to follow along on instagram, in the very least!

we did wake up early on one particular morning to shoot a new look, featuring the cutest ruffled chambray top i scored just a few days before our trip. and lucky for you, it’s currently on sale (use code THURSDAY for 40% off!)!

when i saw the quad of the seminaire de quebec, i knew there was no better place to act as a backdrop for this colorful outfit. the truth is the entire city of quebec city is a fashion blogger’s dream -there are so many charming buildings accented in vibrantly painted doors and the most gorgeous (and well manicured!) flower-filled window boxes. it’s hard to make it down a street (or “rue” in french) or alleyway without stopping eight times to snap a photo.

though there had been forecasted storms the first week we were in the city, the rain remained at bay. aside from one chilly day, we were greeted with sunny skies and at times, very humid temperatures. luckily i packed a majority of breezy dresses and sleeveless tops which were clutch in keeping me from a sweaty mess. on this particular day, i sported this outfit for a morning coffee run and stroll through the city before the heat of the day, and then swapped the pants for shorts (in the same color, ha!) when the temperatures heated up in the afternoon.

much like striped shirts, i truly believe you can never have enough chambray blouses in your arsenal. they are perfect for pairing with neutral, colorful, and even printed pieces. obviously i was drawn to this one for its flirty frilly sleeves ;).

Thank you so much! We spent our last few days relaxing and taking care of errands so we were all set to tackle our first week back. xoxo
