once upon a time i found the perfect off-white sweater. it was the goldilocks of fabrics -not too light-weight and not too bulky, just as appropriate to wear on a chilly summer evening as it was on an unseasonably warm winter day. i loved that sweater and i wore it often. so often that one day, i deemed it necessary to take it to the cleaners for a proper scrubbing. sadly what came back to me was not my sweater, rather, a barbie-sized version of it. so the search began to find its suitable replacement. after nearly a year of searching, i finally found white sweater 2.0 at the same place i had stumbled upon its older sister –madewell, of course.
this season’s version of my beloved cozy knit is all kinds of good. it’s the perfect marriage of form and function as its wool fabric combats the chilly winter weather while its rounded hem still offers a flattering shape. here’s how i styled it for day and play:
