while basics are the foundation for any good working wardrobe, i can’t deny my love for pattern. polka dots, plaid, gingham, and florals -i can’t get enough. the thing i love most about them is how they instantly add a little personality to any look.
when it comes to styling, patterns always look chic when paired with one of your favorite neutrals -a classic white tee, a black silk blouse, even your tried and true chambray button-down. but if you’re feeling a little more daring, mixing patterns can be fun, too -just make sure each of the patterns has at least one color in common to give the look a cohesive feel.
to give you some inspiration, i’ve combined two of my favorite pattern duos-plaid and stripes and plaid and polka dots -to create one look for day and one for play. enjoy!
