you guys! can you believe easter weekend is already upon us? i’m not gonna lie, it’s totally throwing me off being so early this year. but ready or not, the bunny arrives this sunday, so whether your easter celebrations are the type that include a morning church service and buffet brunch or a casual backyard potluck with a competitive egg hunt against your next of kin, not to worry, i’ve got you covered with two looks that’ll be sure to impress.
look #1
zara blouse || madewell skirt (similar) || loft lace-up espadrilles (similar)
francesca’s collections clutch (similar)
while i love a pretty easter dress, i’m more of a separates gal, so i remixed two pieces that have become fast staples in my wardrobe to create a fresh take on a ladylike silhouette. with a black and white color palette, i added a pop of color with a vibrant red clutch.
look #2
anthropologie lace top (similar) || ruffled striped sweater (last seen here)
gap jeans || h&m bow clutch (similar) || madewell d’orsay flats (similar)
i don’t know about your family, but egg hunts can get pretty competitive around these parts, so sometimes it’s better to dress for success. and by success i mean wearing flats shoes and pants so you don’t have to worry about a wardrobe malfunction while you’re diving into bushes to claim your little pastel plastic prize. for a more casual look, i feminized a pair of classic wash jeans with the addition of a ruffled striped sweater and a sleeveless lace top. layering cropped sweaters over textured blouses is a great way to add dimension and interest to an outfit. instead of opting for a neutral shoe, i decided to honor the spring color palette and picked a pale pink d’orsay flat instead.
i’ll be sharing what i actually wore for our easter celebrations later in the week, so be sure to check back then! and for more frequent updates and glimpses of my daily wardrobe, make sure you’re following me on instagram (@shawnaleeann)!

Both are perfect for Easter activities. You look lovely in each of them. I especially like the coordinated ribbon tie on your wedge shoes. You think of everything.
