how to style a panama hat (part two)

happy friday! i’m back with part two of my three-part series on how to style a panama hat. since yesterday’s look was pretty casual, i wanted to feature an outfit perfect for a warm-weather getaway or a day exploring your own hometown.

the next way i love styling my panana hat is…

with a midi skirt and lace-up flats

for someone who is both on the taller side (i’m 5’7″ish) and not 18 anymore, i am suddenly more aware of just how short skirt hemlines have become. that’s why i love the fact that midi skirts are back in the spotlight. not only does their mid-calf length guarantee the avoidance of a wardrobe malfunction, it also gives the outfit a very feminine feel -like the ladylike styles popular in the 40’s and 50’s. to keep with the vintage vibe, i paired the skirt with a knotted chambray top, lace-up flats, and added a printed scarf to my leather bag. i can’t help but feel the addition of the panama hat makes this outfit perfect for a trip to the south of france or the coast of italy. a gal can dream, right?

Yes, I like this look. I’ve always thought a scarf as a serious accessory is under used. Your look gorgeous.
