if you peruse the #shawnaleeannstyle tab on my site or on instagram, chances are you’ve already seen these outfits. but just in case you haven’t, i wanted to share a few ensembles i’ve worn recently that i’ve really loved. most of them incorporate pieces that are currently in stores, too!

side note: i don’t know if it’s the fact that i’m getting older or if choosing to pursue styling blogging more seriously has had an influence as well but i feel like i’ve been hitting my style stride lately. i’m learning that simpler silhouettes are better, neutrals are my best friend, and when in doubt, black or chambray are always a sure thing. madewell is still the supplier of 90% of my wardrobe and hats are my secret weapon for looking chic when it has been a minute since i’ve washed my hair. i’m constantly assessing my closet and donating pieces i habitually skip when contemplating on what to wear every morning. though i may never subscribe to a true capsule wardrobe, i am finding that i really can do more with less pieces. and when i do go shopping, the clothing i now add is mindfully chosen, carefully vetted, and purposely purchased to be worn for a variety of occasions and transitioned from season to season.
