today’s third and final look of the striped sailor pants series might just be my favorite. to me, it screams california cool.
since the previous looks were on the dressier side, i wanted to provide an option on how to style them a bit more casually. and to do that, i paired the trousers with a simple v-neck tee. i accessorized with my favorite neck scarf, a wide-brimmed hat, and a dark wash denim jacket -the perfect staple for any california gal.

as we’re bringing this mini styling series to a close, i wanted to leave you with a few thoughts. first of all, i had a ton of fun remixing these pants for the various aspects of my life. i always try to plan out potential ensembles in my head before purchasing a specific piece to ensure that it will indeed meld into my existing wardrobe, but it’s fun to put that brainstorming into practice. secondly, creating these outfits actually made me grow my affections for the items currently in my closet because it forced me to see them in a new way. and finally, you may remember that i once swore off pants because i was convinced they didn’t work on my body type. yes all pants. everywhere. clearly that was a bit hyperbolic 😉 bottom line is that you never really know what truly works for your shape unless you try a few different silhouettes. through trial and error, i’ve definitely found a pant style that works for me. high-waisted wide-leg pants forever and ever.

Simply perfect. You’ve paired each piece to compliment and not overwhelm the overall look. From head to toe… you have this!

Of the three, it’s my favorite look by far. I will definitely be recreating this outfit again. xoxo
