despite the fact that fall doesn’t *officially* start for another week, as far as i’m concerned, it’s time to start dreaming up autumn outfits –outfits that incorporate my newest closet addition, the perfect light-weight puffer jacket in the dreamiest toffee shade.
buying jackets when it’s still 90-degrees outside is kind of like buying swimsuits in february, it doesn’t make sense at the time, but once the weather is right, you’re always glad you planned ahead. and believe me, once those crisp fall temperatures arrive, i have no doubt this little jacket will get a whole lot of wear.
after wearing my old navy puffer non-stop during my pregnancy with the twins and intermittently when we left the house (lol) last fall, it didn’t take a lot of convincing (myself) that my wardrobe “needed” another one. after spying this packable puffer on madewell’s website, i was pleasantly surprised by how good it was when i had the opportunity to try it on in person on one of the twins’ and my weekly visits to our local madewell store. though light-weight, it’s surprisingly warm, making it the perfect layering piece. it has pockets, a hood, and a hidden zipper on the inside of the lining. it comes in three colors and fits true to size.
while i can think of a zillion more ways to wear it, i settled on four looks to share.
which is your favorite?
madewell addition quilted packable puffer jacket (small) || gap vintage soft crewneck sweatshirt (small) || madewell perfect vintage jeans (sized down 2 sizes) || target universal thread ribbed crew boot socks (one size) || madewell lace-up boots (from last season -this season’s style here & here)
