if you follow me on instagram (which i would love if you did!), you are well aware of a couple of things -one, we got our wedding photos back last weekend and i’ve been spamming up a storm and two, S and i also rang in our second month of marriage. so to celebrate both things, i suppose, we went out for a much-needed date night.
despite the dreary weather in the morning, the afternoon ended up being beautiful so i took that opportunity to dress like spring. after spying this top on julia (of gal meets glam), i knew it would be the perfect piece for my upcoming honeymoon. though embroidery is a big trend this season, i wasn’t quite sure i wanted to jump on board, but i have to admit, once this top arrived in the mail, i quickly changed my tune.

urban outfitters sunglasses || madewell bag (similar)
aside from the fact that this blouse combines two of my favorite details -florals and stripes, i also love its varying shades of blue. while i opted to pair it with my vintage cropped white denim for this outfit, i also love the idea of restyling it with dark denim to play up the navy as well. i typically tend to stray away from off-the-shoulder blouses since i can’t wear them to work, but this one was too cute to pass up.
p.s. just a note about the sizing -loft notoriously runs a little big. this top is an xs and it’s still kind of baggy, so i might recommend sizing down if possible.
