we took our photos for this year’s christmas cards on saturday afternoon (i can’t wait to share them!). i left the outfit selecting to my instagram community and of the four choices, this overalls/chambray combination won by a landslide. which is just as well since i could easily declare 2018 as the year of the overall!

i elected for this frilled chambray to layer under my black skinny overalls and i love the juxtaposition of the overly feminine top with more masculine denim. on the bottom, i debuted my new pair of suede booties -a pair that i could easily declare some of the most comfortable shoes i’ve ever worn. i’ll admit that they are a bit of an investment, but they are truly a pair i’ll have for decades to come.
