after searching for months, i think i’ve found the perfect denim skirt for me. while i originally envisioned something shorter, i’ve realized i’m much more comfortable with a slightly longer hemline -which is why the midi silhouette is ideal.
what i love about this particular style are the asymmetrical buttons and the darting down the sides. the combination of these details gives it a little character and the slit up the front, well, that adds just the right amount of sass.
madewell stretch denim side-button midi skirt
(runs a little big -i sized down to a 25)
zara eyelet top (similar) || madewell hat (similar)
old navy faux suede slim-calf block-heel boots (TTS 9.5)
natalie borton tassel earrings (c/o)
as noted above, this skirt has plenty of stretch so i sized down one size (probably could have sized down two sizes in all honesty but that size was sold out) for a closer fit. the higher rise makes it ideal for tucking in blouses to show off your waistline. overall it’s a fresh and modern take on an old standby and i can’t wait to remix it throughout winter and right into spring.
