after decades of trial and error, i’d say i’m fairly honed in on my personal style. but every now and then, it’s fun to try a new-to-me silhouette.
enter the slip dress -a style that i had seen on a few of my friends but was a little hesitant to try myself. as luck would have it, my step-mom gifted me this beautiful rose gold colored dress from jenni kayne for christmas so i had the perfect excuse to style the silhouette for myself.

madewell denim skirt (size down -25)
sam edelman pumps (TTS) || natalie borton hoops (c/o)
while we did recently experience a mini heat-wave, it’s still january after all so i was not quite ready to don the dress on its own. instead i decided to layer it under my denim midi dress to create the illusion of separates. even my mom was shocked to learn that my “camisole” was really a dress! just goes to show you that you don’t always have to wear clothes the way they’re originally intended. sometimes it’s fun to think outside the box!
