with barre{tender} the main listing on my resume these days, it’s no surprise that i’m in some sort of workout clothing 95% of the time. while i’ve added new pieces here and there to my sweat collection, it has been some time since i’ve done a complete workout wardrobe refresh. but with summer just weeks away, i think it’s time for a little revamp of the items from my most frequented dresser drawer. lucky for me, there are some CUTE new styles this season. below are some of my favorite pieces:

sports bras

i just ordered this sports bra and this one in a few colors. i love gap bras for my non-workout life so fingers crossed they’re just as good. i’ve raved about these chill seamless bras from aerie for years and this slightly longer (and lined!) version from (get this!) forever 21 is great for my weekly spin workouts. oh and this ruffled crop is right up my alley. i just added it to my wish list.

tanks/tops

for me, i find my ideal tank is one that flows away from the body, offering room for movement and sweat. if i had it my way, strut this would make this tank in every color (i own it in black, white & camo). while cropped tanks can be a bit tricky, i also own this one and it’s perfect paired with high-waisted leggings. message tees remind me of britney spears circa 2004, but i have to admit, this one is pretty cute.

leggings

i like my leggings like i like my denim –high-waisted. the higher the rise, the better! i just discovered free people’s movement line and i’ve added this pair and this pair to my (early) birthday list. the leopard obsession continues and i need this pair ASAP. i’m not sure i’d call leggings a work of art but y’all, these are beautiful!

outerwear

by far my favorite place to shop for post-workout cover-ups is aerie. they have adorable (and affordable) sweatshirts for tossing on over your workout tank as you run errands and go about the rest of your day. this one looks like a total dupe of a style three times its price (i have it in navy & white) and it’s currently on sale for $16! i also have this split side-hem top in a dark grey and would love it in another color. target actually has a similar version for half the price.
