can you believe we’re already halfway through 2019? time is flying and while i’d be lying if i said fall wasn’t my favorite season (#socliche), i’m really making it a point to savor summer this year. that means plenty of backyard grilling, long walks around our neighborhood at golden hour, all the in-season fruit, and prepping my wardrobe for the occasional weekend hang at one of our friends’ pools.
my friends at bette (pronounced ‘betty’) recently sent over a couple pieces to help get me into the summer spirit. as someone who tries to limit her sun exposure, caftans and kimonos are a great way to feel stylish while also shielding the harsh UV rays. i love the crepe fabric and pom pom detail of this positano caftan. and with fourth of july right around the corner, the navy and pink color palette would be perfect for celebrating america’s birthday.
this siesta tote came in super handy on our recent trip to la quinta. it holds so much! it pulled double duty by housing my toiletries on the drive out to the desert and then acted as the perfect pool accessory for holding towels, sunscreen etc. once we arrived to the resort. i know it’ll get a ton of use this season lugging all of the essentials to and from the beach or pool.
