meet taylor

as previously mentioned, i have the great fortune of partnering with sezane this quarter. each month the brand graciously gifts me an item of my choosing to style and wear in my real life.

this month i waited patiently for the taylor dress to launch. i actually set an alarm for the middle of the night to ensure i could secure it before it sold out. my efforts paid off because i was able to use my credits to purchase it and when it arrived, it lived up to my already high expectations. the quality of sezane pieces is unrivaled. their attention to detail ensures that when you add one of their garments into your wardrobe, you add them in for life.

the dress is made of dark-wash denim with two tortoise buttons at the high neck to tie. the sleeves are slightly balloon-shaped and the hem is nearly full-length (at least on my 5’7″ frame). each detail makes it the perfect feminine piece to add to my already very girly wardrobe. but it’s the BOW that really steals the show.

now quick note about sizing. i find sezane to run true to size, maybe a hair on the smaller side (i know many people prefer to size up in their sweaters). this dress has a more billowy shape so i’m glad i went with my true size (2) however the head hole and wrists run very small. so small that i i’ll be taking it to a tailor to have the head hole spliced open a tad more so it’s easier to pull it over my dome (perhaps the issue here is my large head?). i might also shorten it a tad to make it a more flattering length. aside from those details, i think this dress is so unique and such an easy piece to throw on and go. add a pair of party heels, boots (as i did here), or even even white sneakers for a more casual feel.

a big thank you to sezane for gifting me such a gorgeous piece that will live happily in my wardrobe for years to come.

i get a small commission for purchases or clicks made through links in this post. thank you for supporting the brands that keep this blog up and running.
