after i exited the corporate world, i definitely felt a shift in my personal style –most notably in my love for dresses and skirts. for 11 years my jeans were reserved only for weekends, and all of a sudden they were available to me all seven days of the week! so for the past year (fun fact: my ‘quitversary’ was on 7/12) , i’ve found myself embracing casual style in a way i haven’t since my collegiate days. but lately i’ve been craving the feminine silhouettes i once wore on nearly a daily basis. admittedly i did a big closet overhaul following my final days as a full-time employee so slowly but surely i’ve added back in a few pieces -most notably midi skirts with playful slits. natalie helped me realize how much more flattering calf-length skirts can be when they show-off a little leg.

on saturday night, S and i joined my parents for a fancier dinner at the prado restaurant in balboa park. we typically don’t venture too far from our north county bubble for our double date nights but it had been many years since we had eaten at this san diego landmark (it was S’s first time!) so we said why not?! albeit VERY crowded at the park, we thoroughly relished in the gorgeous weather and even more beautiful surroundings.
