you must all love overalls* as much as i do because when i posed the question of what styling sessions you wanted to see in the coming weeks, overalls were the most popular response! today i’m sharing six ways (three outfits for each pair of overalls) to wear the childhood favorite for the fall season. i’m hoping i can lend some inspiration as you look to transition your denim from warm to cooler weather. some of the pieces i used are unfortunately old, but i’ve tried my best to offer similar selections as noted below. each photo is posted to the @liketoknow.it app with the appropriate links as well. and of course, a speedy video will be up soon on my IGTV so stay tuned!
*a quick note about the overalls themselves and the sizing. both the blue and black washes are from (where else?) madewell. being 5’7″ with a long torso, i’ve always had a hard time finding overalls with a flattering fit. that was until i stumbled upon these skinny styles from my favorite store. i’m wearing a small in both pairs but i will say the blue pair is a lot stretchier so one may argue you could size down if you don’t need the extra length. otherwise, i would stick with your normal size.
madewell skinny overalls (TTS) || madewell northside vintage tee (sized up for boxier fit) || chicwish knit your love cardigan (s/m) || old navy faux-suede mid-calf boots (similar) || madewell transport tote in painted spots (c/o)
tell me, are you a fan of overalls?
