tuesday

with temperatures still in the 80’s, tanks + shorts are still my go-to formula when putting together an outfit every day. since i had planned a walk with a girlfriend and her son (and the twins, of course) in the afternoon, i decided to opt for sneakers vs. sandals so i didn’t have to change my footwear later. i’ve had this little crocheted ruffle tank for a few years now and it continues to serve me and my wardrobe well. i find myself reaching for it in the summer to pair with shorts and skirts, but also in the fall when the weather is cool enough to wear jeans again.

wednesday

as you may know, wednesdays are typically the days i film for studio barre on demand. my glorious parents come over and watch the twins while i’m gone for most of the morning. i obviously wear some sort of workout gear for filming and then come home and shower/freshen-up and put on a second outfit. i was remiss in snapping a photo of said second outfit, but i will try to do that for next week! on a side note, i was gifted these leggings but it was my first time trying the tavi noir clothing line and i’m a big big fan. the leggings are like buttah!

thursday

you guys, the weather was under 80 today -in fact the babies and i got heavily sprinkled on during our morning walk. WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE! i celebrated said ‘chilly’ weather with a sweatshirt. because i like to live life on the edge. in all honesty i’m really into this combination. cozy on top, feminine on the bottom, mom-friendly all around. i feel like this outfit equation will be on repeat all fall long. in fact, this faux leather skirt is in my shopping cart right now. i’d love to pair it with a comfy sweater and sneakers!

friday

today’s look was inspired by slightly cooler weather and a desire to finally break-in these jeans. they’re so high-waisted, i can get away with a slightly shorter top so i paired them with my ruched tee that just came back from the tailor after the button-loop broke. to be honest, i was feeling pretty blah so i decided to cheer myself up with some festive earrings. these navy tassel earrings are pretty old and probably not the wisest decision to wear around the twins, but they were just the little punch i needed.

saturday

the cooler weather continuing through the weekend, i naturally declared it #sweaterweather and pulled out a ruffled knit i wore maybe once since snagging it last year. this time last year was such a weird time for me style-wise as i was not only adjusting to my postpartum body (see also: nursing boobs), but also trying to justify getting dressed in anything other than loungewear and/or workout clothes when the twins would spit-up on EVERYTHING. let’s just say i cannot wait to have a do-over on fall style this year. one of my favorite ways to bridge the gap between seasons is to pair sweaters + shorts. i love the ruffled detail of this madewell sweater (i linked a similar option since this one is from their fall 2020 collection) and how well it can be front-tucked into denim shorts. i threw my desperately needs to be washed hair in a top knot and added a hair scarf, and voila –saturday style.

sunday

sunday was the twins’ 15th month ‘birthday’ (how?!) so i wanted to recreate a photo we took when they were three months old. i tried my best to recreate the outfit i wore last august but i no longer have the top and shorts. instead i grabbed the same hat and earrings and outfitted myself in something fairly similar (a white top + wide leg jeans).

monday

i knew we were headed to the park so i wanted to be sure i wore something that i could easily move around in. i LOVE these lululemon pants for their durability and comfort. they’re basically an elevated track pant and perfect for wearing around babies. monday kicked off a week or record high temperatures so i decided to balance out the look with my eyelet v-neck tank (which is on major sale!). the pieces were somewhat unexpected to pair together but i’m actually pretty pleased with the end result!
