gather round, friends, i’m going to let you in on a little trick i recently did to my jeans to make them feel like a whole new pair. ready for it?
I CROPPED THEM.
revolutionary, right?
anthropologie endless rose bubble top (xs –size down) || zara wide leg jeans (blue wash -size up! wearing 27/4) || madewell boardwalk sandals (similar) || amazon sunglasses
after buying these full-length wide-leg jeans and returning them because i couldn’t quite figure out how to incorporate them into my wardrobe, i then reordered them (in a slightly darker wash) and took them to my tailor to have them to cut to an ankle-length. of course, if you’re more confident than i am with your scissor skills, i would say, find a tutorial online and simply cut them yourself, but because i love my tailor and knew he’d do a better and more symmetrical job than me, i decided to outsource the transformation.
and what a transformation it was.
because now i’d say they just might be my current favorite pair of denim in my wardrobe. they’re a rigid fabric so they kind of feel like a good pair of vintage levi’s but at a fraction of the cost. they have a fabulous high-rise but do run on the smaller side, so make sure to size up at least one size. they’ll break-in with wear and will start to form to your shape perfectly.
