i’ve mentioned it before that if given the opportunity to choose my family members, though the afflecks and bravermans are very high in the running, i would still opt for the ones i’ve already been so graciously given.

as we find ourselves scattered up and down the california coast, it often takes the crossing off of milestones to get us to congregate together once again. so our times together tend to be few and far between.  but when those weddings, or showers, or as was the case on saturday, my sweet baby cousin’s 1st birthday party, arrive, and we are united once more, i am reminded yet again why i am so proud and grateful to be part of this crazy clan.

so you have your cousins, then you have your first cousins, then you have your second cousins…

it’s fun when your family members are also your bestest friends.
