despite having only spent five years in the 1980’s, there were some fashion trends i rocked well into the 90’s, too. one trend being the tied-up shirt phase. for some reason, instead of buying a shirt that actually fit our body, we thought it would be more fashionable to go up a size and use the extra fabric to form a knot right above our mid-section.
well it’s nearly 20 years later and turns out that whole knot-tying-trend isn’t quite dead yet. or maybe it is, and i’m taking some sort of fashion risk here, but i work darn hard for these abs so whatever. i am kind of in love with this outfit. i feel like this is about as “hipster” as i can pull off. between the tied-up chambray and the booties and the addition of the hat, i could show up to an outdoor festival and semi-be taken seriously.
so lookout coachella 2015, i’m ready for you.
