one || inkcheck plaid sweater. i’m one of those people who looks good in all of the awkward colors -mustards, olives, aubergine. i’m a true autumn, what can i say? i love the unexpected color combination of this mustard and brown plaid. it looks great as styled with blue denim but i’d probably pair it with my favorite high-riser black jeans.

two || oversized tee in emporia plaid. i tried this little plaid number on a couple months ago when it first hit the store. i instantly fell in love but couldn’t justify its purchase due to the price tag. looks like good things come to those who wait because now it’s on sale and still available in my size. dress it up with a statement necklace and black skirt, or dress it down with jeans and sneaks.

three || oversized boyshirt in edina plaid. another day, another plaid. i love the bright primary colors of the edina pattern -perfect for layering under a sweater or puffer vest.

four || slub crewneck tee in minimal stripe. sales are a great time to stock up on wardrobe staples like basic knit tees. i love the simplicity and the subtle stripe of this one.

five || colorblock fringe-detail sweater. a sweater with pizzazz! neutral sweaters are a great canvas for a bright-colored scarf or jewelry. pair it with a long skirt for work or jeans on the weekend.

six || landscape cardigan sweater. who doesn’t love a cozy cardigan? i love the marbled color of this one particularly. i can see it over a simple white tee and black jeans with my new black felt hat.

seven || plaid cross-front tank. seemingly misplaced amongst the sea of knits and plaid, this adorable tank would be a great piece to put away for next spring/summer. though it might even be wearable now as the weather in san diego doesn’t seem to want to dip below 80-degrees.

eight || shirred peasant top in bouquet scatter. i’ll admit that i don’t have a lot of red in my wardrobe. maybe it’s something about me having red hair when i was younger, but i’ve never trusted whether or not i look good in the vibrant hue. this peasant top might help me change my tune. i love its billowy sleeves and believe it would pair nicely with both white and blue denim.

nine || gallerist dress. finally the classic LBD. every lady needs one in her closet and the flattering lines and shape of this version would no doubt make it a staple for all seasons.
