if you’re just tuning in, this is look #2 of a three-look series featuring my new j.crew flannel (view look #1 here) –“one flannel, three ways.”

the next way i paired the blue and red button-down was with a flirty skirt and booties. maybe it’s the primary colors, but this outfit feels very school-girl to me. i almost want to throw on a backpack, carry around a couple of spiral-bound notebooks, and pretend like i’m heading to my humanities 101 class on pepperdine’s campus. i finished off the look with my denim jacket, because unlike the trucker -hats i wore in college, good denim outerwear — in the words of taylor swift, “never go[es] out of style.”
