you may have spotted some new jewelry in my outfit posts over the past few weeks. and if so, good eyes! you’re right, i’ve added a few new pieces to my accessory collection and i couldn’t be more excited to share a bit more about their origins. they’re natalie borton originals!

in addition to writing for her blog and caring for her 16-month-old son, jack, my sweet friend natalie (you may remember her from this post) also launched her own jewelry line last october. after placing a couple of her handmade pieces on my christmas list this year, “santa S” helped make them mine (thanks santa S!).

similar to how my clothing style has transformed over the past year, my approach to accessorizing has changed, too. while i used to subscribe to the belief that all outfits could stand to benefit from the addition of an attention-grabbing statement necklace (or other flamboyant accessory), i find myself gravitating toward more streamlined styles these days. which is why natalie’s “simple, minimalist, and california-inspired” hand-crafted designs have completely captured my heart. as you can see, they transition effortlessly from day to play and each unique design can be mixed and matched depending on your mood. since each piece is handmade, they are sold in limited quantity. so when you buy any of natalie’s creations, you can rest assured that you are one of a small group of 20 or less who owns it. how fun is that? and while i genuinely love her designs (obviously since i own three!), perhaps the thing i love most about sporting these pendants around town and in my photos is that i’m supporting a dear friend chase her dream.

see individual piece credits below and shop all of natalie’s jewelry at her online shop, natalie borton.
