sometimes when you get a new [insert exciting new purchase here], you want to wear it all the time. case in point these jeans that you already saw earlier this week.
in being fully authentic and showcasing outfits i actually wear to the various occasions in my life (whether they be to run errands or attend a dinner party), i wanted to showcase how i remixed these jeans for a casual evening baby shower for two of my oldest and dearest friends.

the shower was held at gorgeous property overlooking the pacific. the view (which was UNREAL), coupled by the stunning conditions (an unseasonably warm january day) certainly made for a memorable sunday evening.
speaking of memorable, with time to spare before the event, we ventured down to the little cove where S proposed just eight months ago. i remember at the time feeling as though our wedding was eons away but somehow we blinked and now 9 little days (SINGLE DIGITS!) stand between us and “i do.”
i realize now it might not have been the best idea to pose in blue denim-colored pants in front of a blue painted wall, but let’s pretend i was playing camouflage. since i had already styled these crops with a wedge heel, i wanted to experiment by pairing them with a flat instead. i chose a lace-up shoe since it felt like a good feminine contrast to a slightly more tomboy style of jeans as well as a ruffle-hemmed cardigan to cut the chill once the sun went down.
which by the way, can we talk about that sunset?
