this friday, i’m in love with…

 

drinking water || i’m on a mission, guys. my skin has been really finicky lately (ugh, hormones) so i’ve decided to do a little mini experiment to see if upping my h20-intake really does have the positive effects to my epidermis that everyone claims it does. apparently lauren conrad drinks her weight in water literally (in ounces) and she has gorgeous skin so it’s worth a shot, right? vanity aside, for how active i am and for the amount of coffee i consume, i know i should be drinking much more than my average two-three glasses. since sunday i’ve successfully drank 7-8 20 oz (a venti-sized starbucks cup is helping get me there) servings of water (well beyond the recommended amount) a day and aside from running to the ladies’ room every five minutes, i can say i feel so much better. hopefully i can keep my habit up, especially now that the summer heat has arrived.

lauren conrad’s maternity style || speaking of lauren conrad…i’m kind of obsessed with her and her baby bump. as we think about starting our family, i have been taking notes on pregnancy style i admire. and lauren (as with everything she does) makes it look pretty effortless (obsessed with her shower dress). she just launched her own maternity line under her lc lauren conrad label at kohl’s and there are some gorgeous and adorable pieces that would make any momma-to-be feel glamorous (love this chambray dress!). lauren is also currently featured on the july cover of fit pregnant & baby and looks stunning in this video from the shoot.

the great british baking show || it’s BACK! one of my favorite discoveries of 2016 was this gem of a program and i am so happy it’s back for another delicious season. for those unfamiliar with this import from BBC television, the great british baking show (called the great british bake-off across the pond) follows 12 amateur bakers on a 10-week journey as they compete for the title of U.K.’s best baker. the contestants are judged in weekly competitions testing their skills on cakes, pastries, breads, and desserts. aside from the charming hosts and the fact that the competition is held beneath a giant white tent in the middle of the english countryside, the thing i love most about the show is the fact that everyone is so sweet and supportive of one another. unlike other reality competitions where cattiness and sabotage are the main source of story lines, this show remains drama free. there have only been two episodes thus far, so now is the perfect time to jump in! we love andrew and candice.  the great british baking show airs on pbs, check your local listings.
