when i switched the focus of this blog to feature my love for personal style and fashion, i made a mental note of brands i’d love to partner with someday. dream big, i thought, who knows what could happen?
in addition to madewell (obviously), also at the top of my list was everlane, a brand i’ve admired for many years and have featured here often, most recently in this post. i love their classic designs, their neutral color palette, and of course, the fact that everything is ethically made.
after noticing my clear affinity for everything wide-legged and cropped, everlane recently reached out to me with the offer to try a pair of their now famous wide-leg cropped pants. i was elated.
i opted for the bone color since i don’t have any non-denim white trousers (and since i think i have enough pairs of black pants for now). after reading the reviews and from the counsel of my everlane rep (shout out to christine!), i ordered a size two.

when the pants arrived, i was instantly impressed. the fabric is a heavier weight (ensuring that the bone color is not see-through!) than i expected and upon trying them on, i found the waist to be higher than other pants i own in a similar silhouette –a fact i love, btw. though i have heard of them stretching out after a few wears, the two fit pretty perfectly. i’ll have to report back if that changes as i continue to style them.
speaking of styling… for this look, i went for one of my favorite way to style white (or ivory) pants, especially in the summer months -with a monochromatic look. this sweet eyelet top is a recent purchase from j.crew and also comes in black and lavender. it’s equal parts sweet and a little sassy (making it perfect for date night!). neutral accessories and the dreamiest bougainvillea wall were the perfect accents.
expect to see these pants again very soon! i have a feeling i’ll be wearing them non-stop the rest of the season (and even into fall with booties and sweaters!). thanks again, everlane!
