this friday, i’m in love with...
trader joe’s holiday decor || to me, it’s not officially the holidays until trader joe’s brings back its boxwood wreaths and this past weekend, they were out in all of their glory. i snagged one over thanksgiving weekend (since like many things at tj’s, they sell out almost daily) and hung it on our front door. we also grabbed a couple strands of garland to adorn our hearth (which smell divine, btw) as well as a few potted poinsettias. don’t judge, but i think we’re going to forgo a tree this year so this little holiday set-up (courtesy of trader joe’s) around the fireplace is definitely the next best thing.
p.s. speaking of trader joe’s, i recently tried their riced cauliflower stir fry and it’s delicious! next time i plan on sauteeing up a little marinated tofu or tempeh for an extra protein punch but if you’re looking for a great healthy alternative to your favorite chinese dish, this is a great option.
everlane’s color block cashmere || this week everlane released a new batch of colors of their signature cashmere crewneck sweater. the latest installment incorporates colorblocking, which gives the classic silhouette a retro vibe. i love the black and white combination (naturally) as well as this style which features a contrasting piping around the wrist and collar.
also, i don’t know about you, but i’m just really excited about prince harry and meghan markle’s recent engagement. as a suits watcher for many years, i feel a personal connection to the future princess and i’ve already decided that i’m going to get up early and watch the wedding live when it takes place next may. it was nice to have a bit of good news this week, right?
favorite outfits from the week include: julia’s faux fur & pink bow (kicking myself for not ordering one of those bow hair ties), alicia’s cozy sweater & beanie (and her baby!), and emily’s ombre look
a sneak peek of what’s coming next week:
things i’ve worn a zillion times
fitting room fables from a few of my favorite stores
my new favorite outfit formula
three things i’m looking forward to this weekend:
pizza date at our favorite spot
shopping day with my momma
teaching saturday & sunday morning barre classes (come take with me!)
and in case you missed it, here’s what appeared on the blog this week:
and a very happy december to you! goodness gracious, the holidays are here! lucky for S and me, we have successfully completed all of our christmas shopping (thanks to black friday/cyber monday) and are excited to simply enjoy these last few weeks of the year, relishing in the joy that this season brings. it’s hard to believe that just a year ago we were in the thick of finalizing plans for our wedding! my how quickly time flies.
you know what i hope doesn’t fly by? your weekend. enjoy it and i’ll see you next week!
xoxo
