as i mentioned in last week’s post, the 90’s are back. from chokers to overalls, the style of my youth has come back around -two decades later. while i may never find the perfect pair of overalls (le sigh), one way i’ve embraced the 90’s fashion is by layering shirts under dresses. i recently wore some intimation of this outfit in an #ootd post (i post my work outfit every day on my instagram stories if you’re interested!) and i was shocked by how many people responded. i always try to think of ways to get more mileage out of my sundresses and layering is the perfect way to remix them for work and/or in the cooler months.

i bought this gingham dress at the end of last summer and it’s been one of those purchases that has surprised me by just how often i reach for it -especially on a warm sunday afternoon when we’re out running errands for the week ahead. it’s just so easy. since the neckline is a little inappropriate for the office on its own, i got the idea to pair a long-sleeve tee beneath it the other day as i was putting together an outfit for work. i threw on my black booties and voila, 90’s chic.
