there are just dresses that you put on and you immediately feel something. in this case, when i slipped on this striped beauty last week, i immediately felt like belle from beauty and the beast. in the best possible way. i even started singing the opening song to myself in our bedroom as i admired my reflection in the closet mirror (#imadork). anyway, all that’s to say this dress is a big WINNER in my book and i anticipate it on heavy rotation both at the office and on the weekend all spring/summer long. (i plan on pairing it with these flats and a denim jacket for a weekend look and these sandals for work).

forget april, we’ve been experiencing quite a few march showers lately and it has been really cramping my spring style. but since it was date night and i really wanted to wear my new dress, i disregarded the dreary weather and took my new linen lover for a spin. at least i thought to pair it with booties so my feet were warm? after last week’s lazy weekend, it felt good to get out and about for a dinner on the town. and by dinner on the town i mean the early bird special at campfire in downtown carlsbad. local readers, have you been? we had been dying to see what it was all about and it didn’t disappoint. our top recommendation? GET THE BROCCOLI.
