after a pink overload in college, i’ve avoided the color for nearly a decade. but you guys, i’m happy to report that i’m back on the blush bandwagon and it feels pretty darn great! especially since there is an abundance of adorable rose-colored pieces this season -including this coordinating striped blouse and shorts.

i originally spotted this set on zara’s website a few weeks ago but wasn’t sure if it was for me. you’ll notice that i don’t currently have a ton of pink in my closet so i was unsure if it belonged in my wardrobe. but then my girl crush, taylor sterling wore it (paired with this skirt) on her recent trip to palm springs and it looked so darn cute on her, i convinced myself that i needed it, too.

the thing i do love about a coordinating set is that while you can certainly wear the pieces together, you can also break them apart and restyle them on their own. i’ll definitely be doing just that with this top and shorts. just off the top of my head, i’ll wear the blouse with these jeans and these cropped pants, and the shorts will be perfect with a chambray, or a simple white tank. i have a good feeling you’ll be seeing each of these pieces a few more times before the summer’s end.
