this friday, i’m in love with…
fresh watermelon || if you watched my instastories last weekend, you know i indulged in one of summer’s quintessential staples –fresh watermelon! my friend brought a locally-grown melon to the bbq we attended and it may have been one of the best ones i’ve ever tasted! i’m definitely putting the summer fruit on our shopping list this week. it’s the perfect thing to snack on when i’m looking for something refreshing and sweet.
meghan markle’s style || the princess of sussex has been on quite the event tour this week and her outfits have been on point. plain and simple, she wears clothes beautifully and her classic and minimalist style is evidence that sometimes less is more. personally i loved this green dress the most but this chic pantsuit is a close second.
very cavalleri || i’m not too proud to admit that S and i watched the premiere of kristin cavalleri’s new reality show on e! this past weekend and surprisingly found it to be not half bad. after reading this hilarious article, i think we’ll continue watching it solely to see what jay cutler does/doesn’t do. he’s the true star of the show.

the nordstrom anniversary sale’s early access opened yesterday! while i wasn’t super keen on anything in particular in the preview catalog, i figured it was still a good idea to order a couple of things i thought had potential before they officially sold out. i’ll be sharing my picks early next week, just in time for the sale to open for the public!

summer dresses to beat the heat
well this weekend went from having minimal plans to all the plans in a matter of hours but we’re excited for the events to come. as i mentioned above, we’re hoping to take part of saturday to get a little more organized. now that both houses are sold/purchased, i feel like we can start filing away the extra paperwork. we also have guests coming on sunday so i want to tidy up as best as we can for them, of course. albeit still very warm, it looks like the weekend temperatures are going to be a bit more manageable which means more time spent outside. hoping to shoot some fresh looks for the blog next week, so stay tuned! as always, your love and support are everything so thank you, thank you for following along.
