this friday, i’m in love with…
liv3 || after a studio barre client recommended it to me, i finally stopped by liv3 this weekend. owned by a trio of sisters, the local boutique is the perfect mix of home decor, apparel, and whimsy – like a more affordable anthropologie. while i ultimately left empty-handed, i did try-on a few cute pieces and fell in love with their extensive collection of plants and plant accessories. bottom line, i most definitely will be back!
our west elm dining chairs || well, patience finally paid off because after stalking them online for the past two months, our favorite dining chairs finally went on sale and we scooped them right up! we added four of them around our kitchen table and voila, now our kitchen nook is complete! they’re super comfortable (both S and i agree that they kind of mold to your body) and match the dark wood of our floors and of the table base perfectly. i personally can’t wait to sit in them as i sip my morning coffee or enjoy a homemade lunch during the day.
dining room furniture shopping || speaking of home decor, this week we also ordered two more things for the house (these pillows and this rug) and have plans of visiting living spaces this weekend to look at dining room tables and chairs. the formal dining room and S’s office are the two remaining first floor rooms that need a little TLC so i’m excited to make a dent in the progress. i’ll be sure to share updates as they happen -both here and on instagram but in the meantime, this is the table we’re currently eyeing and these are the matching chairs.
old navy luxe crew-neck tee || per the recommendation of my fashion blogger partner in crime, natalie borton, i ordered this tee in olive last week (p.s. it’s still on sale for 50% off!). it arrived yesterday and is every bit as good as she said it was -so buttery soft and in a gorgeous shade of muted green. it has a generous length (to accommodate my long torso) and the small fits perfectly -not too clingy but not too oversized either -goldilocks style –just right. at just $8.50, i’m seriously considering ordering it in another color. get yourselves to oldnavy.com and snag one ASAP.
finally, in addition to this being my last week of work, i also celebrated another milestone -my 1000th studio barre class! i took my very first studio barre class in late september 2013 and i can’t believe in five years i’ve managed to make it to 1000. to say i’m a barre junkie would be an understatement. i’m forever grateful for this workout and more importantly, the community and tribe that i’ve found as a result.

well, today marks the end of an era. august 31st, 2018 is officially my last day in the corporate world, in its traditional sense anyway. while this change in seasons is a little bittersweet, it is mostly met with unbridled joy and excitement for all that is to come -most specifically lots of midday coffee dates with girlfriends and naps, so many naps. as i previously mentioned, my freer schedule will finally allow me to delve deeper into the blogging world and it is my goal to bring your more regular and premium content, so get excited!
