instant hotel on netflix || looking for a mindless show to binge during this dreary winter season? might i suggest instant hotel on netflix? based in australia, the show pins vacation rental owners against each other to compete for the grand prize of a trip to palm springs, CA (go figure!). between the australian scenery, the accents, and the drama amongst the competitors, i found it to be very entertaining. so much so i managed to watch the entire season in two days. whoopies.
trader joe’s turkey burgers || traditionally i follow a fairly vegetarian diet, but it’s still a struggle to get adequate protein given the frequency of my workouts. SO i’ve been dabbling with adding meat back into my diet and honestly, i don’t know why i ever gave it up! my latest obsession are the frozen turkey burgers from trader joe’s. have you tried them? they are delicious and so easy to make -just cook them in a skillet on medium heat for about four minutes each side.
old navy faux suede slim-calf block-heel boots || ever since they arrived right before christmas, i haven’t stopped wearing these suede slim-calf boots. i’ll be honest, i was a little nervous they would make my legs a little cankle-ly but quite the contrary, in fact. i find them to be extremely flattering on these old gams. aside from their design, i find them to be extremely versatile in my wardrobe, too. i’ve paired them with both denim (as shown above) as well as with skirts/dresses. they’re currently on sale and naturally i’m trying to justify if maybe i need them in the pink color as well…
a NEW year! || as cliche as it sounds, i’m kind of in love with the idea of making 2019 my/our best year ever. we may only be four days in, but i’m already feeling really hopeful and excited for everything that is to come.
in my online shopping cart: while most stores are still offering major sales, there are a few cute things i’ve got my eye on right now -j.crew released some new arrivals from their point sur collection and i’m loving this dress and these jeans. speaking of jeans, i’ve wanted a pair of paperbag pants for a while and this pair from abercrombie looks like they could be contenders!

i finally found the perfect denim skirt!
+ piggy-backing off of last sunday’s post with this cardigan, i had a request for a mini styling session with a few more ideas of how to incorporate it into one’s wardrobe. i plan on recording a few videos this weekend and will post them next week!

happy new year! i hope your 2019 is off to a great start. as i stated above, i’m really grateful for a blank slate and i’m filled with hope and excitement for all that this year has in store for us -most notably our second wedding anniversary coming up in a few short weeks! after the busyness of the holidays i feel like i’m just getting back into a steady rhythm so while the blog has been a little quiet, i’m hoping to change that in the coming weeks with fresh content and new outfit posts! as always, i’m so thankful for your love and support! here’s to making 2019 the best year ever. have a wonderful weekend and i’ll see you next week.
