i’ve never been much of a camisole gal (other than using them to layer under sheer tops and sweaters) but as soon as i saw this adorable button-up style on a recent visit to the abercrombie store (and subsequently on natalie), i decided to reconsider. i immediately ordered the linen tank in the white and this striped version and prayed they’d be long enough to cover my generous torso. when they arrived i was definitely pleased by their breezy fabric and the adorable button detailing. though we’re still fighting fog and the sporadic chilly day, i know the HEAT is on its way. a loose-fitting top like this cami will be perfect for creating outfits aimed at staying cool while still looking chic. i decided to pair the beige striped style with a pair of skinny denim and my new woven slides for an easy neutral look for a casual date night. i plan on remixing the cami with wide-leg pants, my white denim shorts, and boyfriend jeans.

*a quick note about the length –when i pulled the camis out of the package i was a bit skeptical of their seemingly cropped fit. however as soon as i got them onto my body, i realized they were plenty long to ensure my navel was well-concealed from public view (as you may know, i’m nearly 5’7″ with a long torso). i will definitely be pairing the camis exclusively with high-waisted items in my closet (think high-waisted denim and midi skirts pulled up at my natural waist), but lucky for me that’s pretty much everything i own these days 😉
