i feel like my style is going through a bit of renaissance. when i was working a full-time job, i got dressed up every single day. it was certainly fun putting together whimsical looks (i was never a blazer and slacks gal), but it also left me with a closet of pieces that didn’t always transition well from work to weekend. now that life is a lot more casual, i find myself marie kondo-ing the formal pieces (i LOVE consigning them and earning a little extra cash!) in favor of casual basics that can be mixed and remixed a zillion different ways. now as i take a peek at my closet, i can see a more simplistic style emerge and i’ll be honest, i’m really loving what i see!
for today’s styling session, i wanted to try my hand and styling and restyling this cute button-front cami that i recently picked up from abercrombie. i originally ordered it in the white and tan striped and upon receiving it, immediately went online to order it in a couple more colors. now i have four versions of the same tank in my closet, ready to wear all summer long! to prove their versatility i wanted to showcase how easily they can be styled for day right into date night.
in terms of sizing, i’m wearing a small in all four camis. i believe they fit a tad oversized (depending on your bust size) but in a great gauzy, effortless way. considering they’re made from a light linen fabric and best suited for warm weather, i prefer them to fit more on the baggier side (because no one wants a skin-tight top in the middle of july).
finally, i’m wearing my natalie borton julia teardrop earrings with each of the eight outfits. while they’re no longer available, don’t fret! nat will be releasing hoop styles next week (may 16th). as always, the best way to stay informed about new releases to her online shop is by signing up for her newsletter and following her on social media.
