while i may not be a mom quite yet, i’m giving myself permission in the interim to embrace the new ‘mom jean’ silhouette. after seeing this style from abercrombie on a few of my favorite style bloggers, i ordered a pair for myself. it didn’t hurt that they were also on sale for $44 at the time(!). after reading the reviews i opted for my usual size in denim (26/2). having little experience with non-stretch jeans, i can honestly say that they were a little snuggly on first try-on, but i’m happy to report that they’ve started to conform to my shape with frequent wear.

besides the jeans, i also recently added this top and these sandals to my winter-to-spring transitioning wardrobe. i hadn’t really added anything noteworthy since the beginning of the year, so i’m glad i waited because all three items are [goal post emoji]. you guys, this cute little cropped number is the softest top EVER. it’s seriously like a warm hug on your body. despite its shorter hemline, it’s perfect for front-tucking into high-waisted pants and the deep v shows off just enough decolletage to keep things sassy. it may be overkill, but in addition to the white, i also purchased it in olive and grey! finally, let’s talk about these gorgeous metallic sandals for a minute. as soon as i spotted them on j.crew’s website i immediately put them in my online cart. knowing what i know about j.crew, however –that they have a sale literally every other day, i knew better than to hit purchase just yet. as anticipated, a few days later, the site was offering 40% off everything. coupled with a reward i had saved from earning points with my j.crew credit card, i managed to score the sandals for $59 (originally $128). this [future] momma loves a deal, guys!
