and now nearly a century later, the little black dress continues to be a staple in any girl’s wardrobe. it’s the perfect blank canvas — the perpetual solution for your “i have nothing to wear” plight. you can dress it up, dress it down, and wear it all four seasons. it’s like the coconut oil of clothing -there isn’t anything it can’t do.
i’m slightly embarrassed to admit that until very recently, i did not own a version of the elusive wardrobe staple. of course i had in the past (it was a requirement as a member of the delta gamma sorority), but i had purged ill-flattering styles in exchange for waiting to find a more updated shape that would coincide with my current style.
