when i got my first two pairs of non-blue jean denim this summer (one pair of madewell’s high-riser skinny skinny jeans in grey and one in black), i figured i would wear them sporadically, mixing them in only when i tired of my normal denim routine (dark skinny jeans are after all, my jam). but i’m shocked to say that over the course of the last six months, my grey and black jeans have become the pairs i gravitate toward most. i credit their flattering fit and soft fabric as the reason for my new found love affair, but simply put, i can’t help but feel they offer a level of sophistication i don’t find in traditional blue jeans.
today i’ve pulled three looks that feature my favorite pair of black skinny jeans to showcase how non-blue jean denim can be just as versatile and chic!
