much like the transition from summer to fall, the transformation of winter into spring is one of those highly anticipated moments in the year. i for one am ready to exchange tights and sweaters for lighter fabrics and brighter hues, but i also realize we still have a good two months or so before the temperatures will be warm enough for anything other than long-sleeves (thank goodness for our upcoming desert getaway!). so i’m finding the happy medium by ever so slowly incorporating spring/summer styles into my current winter wardrobe. like this eyelet skirt, it’s an oldie but a goodie from madewell’s early summer collection last year. while i can’t wait to pair it with my cropped chambray top, sleeveless silk blouse, and gladiator sandals, i love that i can combine it with a bright sweater, leather booties, and a fresh bunch of tulips now and help usher the warmer temps our way.
the good news is punxsutawney phil didn’t see his shadow yesterday, so…
hey spring, we’ll see you soon.
