this friday, i’m in love with:
jenni kayne || i mentioned in this post that my step-mom recently sent me a few goodies from jenni kayne, a new-to-me designer who specializes in high-quality minimalist fashion. though her pieces are definitely an investment, i must say that their impeccable fit and craftsmanship makes them worth the splurge. i can’t speak more highly of this dress i wore on easter (it can be dressed up or down and would flatter a variety of body types!) and can’t wait to style this cute little tie-front cami (on sale!) this weekend for our saturday date night. jenni kayne also carries a bevy of unique housewares. S just hung this fun ceramic bell in our kitchen, a gift we received last christmas.
rodan + fields lash boost || after hearing crazy stories about the effects of latisse, i’ve been leery to try any sort of eyelash growth serums, but after years of wearing waterproof mascara had worn my lashes thin, i became eager to explore possible alternatives. apparently facebook heard my cry because all of a sudden, my feed became littered with posts singing the praises of rodan + fields’ lash boost (this also means that many of my facebook friends must be R + D reps!). after reading this helpful faq list about the product, i decided to give it a try and you guys, this stuff is magic. i wish i had taken a good before photo because i’d love to show you a comparison of just how much my lashes have grown over the past six(ish) weeks of using it. you can kind of see it here versus here, but if you’re interested in hearing more about my experience, feel free to send me an email using the contact form!
j.crew’s latest style guide || it’s lucky for me that j.crew and madewell are sister companies because these days i’m having a hard time deciding which brand i love more. especially when both of them just released some adorable pieces for late spring. but when j.crew’s style guide landed in my mailbox this week, i think it may take the cake for more looks i want on my body STAT. i’ll take this, these, this, these, and these, please and thank you.
if you saw on instagram, it was a pretty tough week, so i’m using that as an excuse to pick-up a little something this weekend. besides, everything at j.crew is 25% off through sunday! use code HOPTOIT.
my husband || i know, this one is really cheesy, but he deserves a special shout out. this week after an already long day at work, he happily went to two grocery stores and did a load of laundry for us. i’m realizing more and more than marriage is about the little gestures just as much (if not more) than the big ones. so thank you, husband, i love you. also we’ve been married three months today!
favorite outfits from the week include: liz’s LWD, julia’s all pink outfit, sallie’s ruffled chambray (maternity) dress, and lisa’s lavender boho maxi.
a sneak peek of what’s coming next week:
celebrating our engagemementversary (read our engagement story here)
wrap skirts are having a moment (i’ll take this one, this one, and this one, please!)
an announcement of an upcoming series kicking-off next month!
three things i’m looking forward to this weekend:
a double date night with my parents at vintana
buying new bed pillows (#thisismarriedlife)
enjoying the amazing spring weather!
and in case you missed it, here’s what appeared on the blog this week:
have a great weekend! see you next week.

I’m so glad you brought back “It’s Friday” and this post is the reason why. It’s fun and informative, and so completely you. The shout out to your Mr Wonderful is such a nice tribute to his love and dedication to you and your marriage. (Yay team Rivera.)
BTW – I love the pink shorts, and the gingham shoes!
Have a terrific date night, and fun, fun, fun weekend.

Yay, I’m so glad to hear you’re enjoying this series again. Aren’t the pink shorts adorable? I ended up snagging them in black since I think they’ll be a little more functional in my wardrobe. I can’t wait for them to arrive.
Thank you so much! Have a fabulous weekend, too. Can’t wait to share more next week. xo
